Chapter 517 Perfect Timing

Apparently, Yulia used to think that Skylar only chose her because he was rejected by Yvonne when he

proposed to her back then. However, after Skylar told her that he was willing to be Lola's father and

after a series of things, she changed her mind. She knew for sure that Skylar was serious about

marrying her back then. She wondered if there was more to the story. If Skylar told her that he used to

have a crush on her, then, she had absolutely no idea when she even met Skylar before in the past.

Besides, Skylar had given everything to Yvonne for five whole years anyway.

Skylar was conflicted when she asked that. The truth was that he wanted to find a chance to come

clean to Yulia about what happened that night. Since she asked him then, perhaps this was the perfect

opportunity for him to do so. So, he took a deep breath and decided to come clean. He could not keep

the truth hidden from her forever. The truth would only weigh on him even more as time went on. He

believed that they were close enough to earn her forgiveness. Perhaps she would break down and get

"Yulia…" Skylar stuttered, but his words were interjected by a phone call. It turned out that Valerie was

calling him.

This snapped Skylar back to his senses and he knew that Lola must have missed them already. Lo and

behold, Lola's face could be seen as soon as he accepted the call.

Lola was wearing a set of yellow pajamas as she laid on Valerie's bed. She said, "Daddy, I want to

sleep with you and mommy." This was the first time that both Yulia and Skylar were absent from her

side. Even if Valerie were to spoil her rotten, she still missed them. Skylar's heart melted when he

noticed how sad Lola looked.

we'll be home to play with you tomorrow, okay? You know, your mother even told me that she wanted

to buy you some new toys and clothes tomorrow."

"And food, daddy. I want to eat all kinds of good food," replied Lola.

"Of course. And all kinds of good food!" Skylar replied.

It was only then did Lola calm down. However, she said, "Daddy, I'm already in bed, so can you tell me

an awesome bedtime story?"

Skylar glanced at Yulia and said, "Why don't you have Valerie tell you a bedtime story. Have her tell you

a story that even I don't know about, okay?"
