Elijah would admonish the onlookers if he knew what they were thinking. After all, it was easier said
than done. Dianne may appear to be a gentle, innocent beauty, yet she was a top-notch fighter whose
blows were ten times more lethal than a man’s.
He would rather be slapped twice by the stewardess than receive a single punch from Dianne. Based
on the woman’s earlier threat, it appeared that she would not let the matter rest until the stewardess did
as she was ordered. If the situation continues, Elijah may not be able to survive till Troitz county. His
heart hammered in his chest as he considered his options.
When Elijah noticed Dianne’s approaching hand, he screamed at the stewardess, “What are you

you! Hurry up! I’ll give you ten thousand dollars. No, wait… twenty thousand. No, two million dollars. If
you slap me now, I’ll give you two million dollars!”
Despite Elijah’s attractive offer, the stewardess shook her head fervently as she was too afraid to make
the move. When he witnessed the woman’s hesitancy, the guy became enraged, driven by his need to
survive. He glared at her and yelled, “I demand you to slap me right now. Do it! Stop shaking your
head, or else, I swear that I’ll kill your family when we reach Troitz.”
The stewardess was appalled by his threats. She clenched her fist and inhaled deep breaths.
“Hurry, slap me!” Elijah urged, his eyes turning bloodshot. He never expected that he had to coerce
someone to hit him.
Finally, the stewardess decided to follow through with his instructions. She approached him trembling,
lifted her hand, and took a deep breath before slapping Elijah twice with force.
“All right,” Dianne, who had been silent the entire time, finally spoke out. Elijah heaved a sigh of relief
when she let go of his collar. However, just as he thought the ordeal was over, Dianne turned around
and said coldly, “You promised to give her two million dollars if she slapped you. Are you going to honor
your words?”
Elijah was once again frightened down to his shoes when he met Dianne’s menacing gaze. “Yes… yes.
Definitely,” he stuttered. Despite his feelings of injustice, he feared expressing them to the woman.

was waiting for him to transfer the money to the stewardess. He did so obediently, fearful of facing
Dianne’s wrath.
After returning to his seat, Elijah started texting his men. He thought in frustration, I swear I’ll make
Skylar and Dianne pay for their actions once we reach Troitz.
Skylar dismissed Elijah’s insignificant attempts to harm them; Dianne could tell what the man was up to
with just a single glance. She also took out her phone and texted someone.
The train finally arrived at Troitz county forty minutes later. Skylar observed a group of men glaring at
them viciously as they approached the exit. They seemed to have been waiting for the duo’s arrival for
a long time. However, Skylar and Dianne did not slow down and walked confidently toward the exit.
The men cornered them as soon as they exited the exit, as was to be expected. Their leader was a tall,
muscular bald man with a prominent jade ring.
