Chapter 227 After parking the car at the hospital, Jason glanced at Evelyn.
She dozed off for a bit, but even in her sleep, her brows were drawn tight. It was as if she was burdened by something in her dreams.
He froze for a moment and did not wake her up right away.
Evelyn did not fall into a deep sleep and woke up shortly after.
She took a look at the time. "Thank you," she said with a distant expression.
She opened the door and stepped out.
Jason nodded and watched her enter the hospital.
When Evelyn returned with the medication, she was surprised that his car was still there.
Follow on NovᴇlEnglish.nᴇtShe frowned slightly.
Jason rolled down the car window and explained, "I canceled the rest of my schedule. Figured I might as well drive you back to the hotel." He had considered getting out to open the door for her, but it would probably only make her uncomfortable. So he held back.
Evelyn was puzzled for a second, but seeing how he had waited for her, turning him down again would seem unnecessary.
She got in and thanked him quietly.
Jason gave a faint smile. "No problem. Fasten your seat belt and take a nap if you're tired. I'll wake you up when we're there." Evelyn nodded but did not fall asleep. She and Jason did not have much to talk about either, so she kept herself busy, organizing the notes on her phone.
She had done a summary and analysis of what she had learned at the base today.
Jason glanced over and caught a glimpse of the advanced terminology she used. His eyes flickered with a trace of doubt.
She was doing this kind of advanced work in Flying Seal Group? Had Sebastian given her guidance before? That would mean Evelyn might be a lot smarter than others believed her to be. The thought of that made him smirk slightly.
Back at the hotel, Evelyn received a message from Sebastian, reminding her to have dinner at the hotel restaurant. It would be considered a casual seminar after the tour.
Jason got a message from Tiffany as well. Mason had ctoo, and she wanted Jason to join them.
The two of them exited the car one after the other.
Tiffany had just stepped out of the elevator when she saw a man and woman walking in together out of the corner of her eye.
She stopped in her tracks abruptly.
Frowning, she looked over more closely.
"What is it?" Lucas stopped and looked at her.
Tiffany quickly snapped out of it. By the tshe looked again, Jason and Evelyn were already gone. "Did you notice..." Lucas' expression was calm and distant when he glanced outside. "Notice what?" Tiffany abruptly shut her mouth and shook her head. "Nothing. I must've been mistaken." There was no way Jason would be with Evelyn. He never liked her in the first place. Lucas did not press further and pulled his gaze away from the window.
He then turned and walked toward the restaurant.
When Evelyn arrived, Sebastian and the others were already there, chatting away. Graham was surrounded by a few engineers, discussing their insights from the tour.

To her surprise, Mason was here too, chatting with Brandon. They waved Jason over when they saw him enter.
Not long after, Lucas and Tiffany entered the restaurant together and joined them at the table.

Brandon looked over at the two of them, quietly observing. Their relationship seemed closer than he had expected.
Jason, on the other hand, glanced at Evelyn with complicated emotions on his face.
