When Fiona and Jason walked over, they saw Evelyn sitting alone in the waiting area, thinking about something. "Jason, is Evie here to see the doctor alone? Why isn't anybody keeping her company?" Fiona asked.
The way Fiona saw it, a person should be accompanied by someone else when they were sick.
She had had asthma since she was a child. Her parents and brother would always take turns to be with her when she cfor treatments. If nobody was with her when she was sick, she would feel incredibly sad and helpless. Evelyn was a few years older than her, but she would probably feel scared as well, would she not? Fiona felt a little sorry for Evelyn after she saw that the latter was alone.
"Didn't you say that Evie is married? Why isn't her husband here with her?" Fiona asked in confusion. Jason pursed his lips at the thought of Lucas' situation. He had a complicated expression on his face. "Don't bring this up in front of Evelyn," he said to Fiona. He was worried that Evelyn would be sad. Fiona did not quite understand, but she nodded her head and quickly walked up to Evelyn. "Evie, are you feeling unwell?" she asked.
Evelyn saw the young lady, whose eyes were filled with concern. Then, she saw Jason walking over. She froze for a brief moment before she said, "It's fine. It's nothing serious. Are you here to collect your medication?" Fiona shook her head. "I cto the hospital regularly for treatments. Evie, since I've taken the day off today anyway, I'll wait for your results with you." Evelyn was slightly stunned.
She had been coming to the hospital alone when she was feeling unwell all this time. She never had anybody keeping her company before.

Jason looked at her and thought about it for a moment before he said, "It's alright. She has nothing to do anyway." Evelyn hesitated, but she did not turn Fiona down in the end.
Then, Fiona and Evelyn kept chatting m while Jason said nothing. He just acted as if he was not there. After the results were out, Evelyn kept all the papers in her purse.
It was only then that Jason had the chance to ask, "Have you made all the arrangements for your uncle?" Evelyn looked calm as she replied, "I'm still looking for a doctor."
Jason pondered for a moment and said, "The doctor that I told you about the last tst tsaid he could fearrange his time. I'll talk to him personally, and I'll set up an appointment for you to meet him." Evelyn looked at him with puzzlement and asked, "Would that not be too troublesome?"
She clearly was not close to Jason at all. In fact, their relationship in the past was quite terrible. She was confused enough when he shared the doctor's contact with her the last time.
