Chapter 200 As soon as Evelyn saw Lucas, she put away her phone. Her gaze remained clear as she replied, "It's nothing." Then, she walked straight past him. She only gave a polite response, not saying more than necessary. Lucas turned to watch Evelyn's back. One could not tell his current emotion.

On the other hand, Sebastian and Donald had pretty much finished their conversation. Evelyn didn't offer any further opinions. At this point, repeatedly refusing would seem ungracious. To last long in their circle, one needed to be tactful.

The next day, Evelyn and Sebastian held a focused meeting.

Charlie remarked, "TechNova Group is one of the leading companies in aviation manufacturing. Their military aircraft, commercial jets, and drones are top-notch while Finlay Tech is the up-and-comer. In terms of stability, TechNova Group definitely has the edge." Evelyn looked at the performance analyses of both companies. She finally said matter-of-factly, "Then let's go with TechNova Group. Our project has high technical requirements, and we need to avoid sproduction risks." She made the decision quickly. She knew how to keep business separate from personal feelings. At the end of the day, Clementon's Tech Nova Group was their top choice.

Choosing a manufacturer from out of state would pose significant cost and management risks.

Sebastian finalized the decision. "Notify TechNova Group." He got up and walked over to Evelyn. "Should I turn down Mr. Harrison's offer, then?" he asked. Evelyn nodded. "Alright." Sighing, Sebastian added, "I just don't understand why Tiffany is so fixated on this project. She insists on getting involved, even if by proxy. Lucas has so many tricks up his sleeve, and Donald can't keep turning him down. He's forced to show him srespect." Deep down, they all knew that although TechNova Group was the optimal choice in aerospace manufacturing and it appeared that they had chosen it over Finlay Tech, Lucas was just using this as a way to please Tiffany. Even if TechNova Group was the best choice and the completion of the Flying Seal Group project outweighed everything else, it still felt off.

Evelyn didn't think much of it. She smiled faintly and said, "At least Tiffany isn't in the research and development team, so that's a plus." Charlie nodded in agreement. "That's true." Recently, the two of them had been very busy. But now that the funds were about to be in place and the aerospace manufacturer was confirmed, Evelyn took two days off. She needed stto recharge.

On the third day, Evelyn was informed that the full payment for her house had been deposited. After verifying the amount, she promptly headed over to Flying Seal Group.

The project could be officially launched! News about Flying Seal Group had been drawing widespread attention, and word of their secured funding soon spread. It had only been a few days since the funding drive began, and no one knew which company had invested such a massive sum.

Lucas was in a meeting when the news reached him. He noticed a flurry of messages in the group chat from Mason and the others.

Mason was so shocked that he sent multiple messages in a row.

"This shouldn't be, right? Who exactly invested in them?" "I had been wondering about this! They didn't mention a word about investment in the golf course. So, they really secured it?"

"Why haven't we heard Flying Seal Group announce the investor. It's simply unbelievable!" Tiffany: "Is the news confirmed?"

Jason: "Yeah, even the government is buzzing about it. Flying Seal Group really does have the funds." Mason: "Lucas, do you know what's going on with your ex-wife?"

Lucas exited the group chat and checked Flying Seal Group'sannouncement, where he read that a NOV 500 million-dollar deal had been closed. A smirk played on his lips as he put his phone away.
