Chapter 181 Evelyn glanced at Sebastian's phone screen.
It was a post from Mason's social media feed with a nine-grid collage taken at a club, consisting of champagne, wine, and a lively atmosphere. The last photo showed Lucas lounging lazily on a couch with Tiffany sitting beside him, facing him and talking with a soft smile.
The two of them exchanged a quiet smile.

Anyone could see that something was going on between them.
The most eye-catching part was Mason's caption, "Good times deserve champagne! Tonight, Mr. Grant is picking up the tab!" Evelyn's gaze remained indifferent. But Justine slammed the table in disbelief. "What does this mean? Are they celebrating now?" It was as if they were celebrating the divorce right to Evelyn's face! Just after the divorce was finalized, Lucas went ahead and threw a party.
"Lucas and Tiffany seem to be getting really close." Sebastian frowned before letting out a cold laugh. "They're just getting together. Do they need to make such a big hoo-ha about it?" "No matter what, they've been married for years! I'm not asking him to be heartbroken over the divorce, but can't he be a little more discreet? Throwing a party so soon-does he not care about Evelyn's feelings at all? It's cruel!" Justine was so angry her face turned red.
Who wouldn't be frustrated by this? They were bullying Evelyn just because she was an easy target.
She glanced at Evelyn, who, to her surprise, hadn't reacted at all. Evelyn merely looked at the screen briefly before looking away, seeming like an outsider.
"They're free to do as they wish," Evelyn said, putting down her cutlery. "It has nothing to do withanymore." Justine sighed in relief but still muttered, "But this is too much..." Sebastian tapped the table, raising an eyebrow. "Since the divorce is done, there's no need to keep up appearances with them anymore. You can't let Tiffany keep acting like she's the rightful girlfriend, right? At worst, you can expose her and say she was the third party. What can Lucas do to you after the divorce?" Evelyn paused for a moment, then shook her head.
"Anything you can think of, Lucas has already considered. He madesign an agreement forbiddingfrom revealing our marriage or divorce details. Lucas is several steps ahead. He has already cut off any potential harm to Tiffany's reputation." The agreement he had her sign was a result of his foresight. No matter what those two did, she would have to turn a blind eye.

What she needed to focus on were the things that truly mattered in her life.
Both Justine and Sebastian were stunned. They hadn't expected this side of her. Justine held back for a while before muttering, "That bastard is so slick!" He treated Tiffany like his most precious possession.
Sebastian patted Evelyn on the shoulder. "Good for you, getting out of that mess. Now, focus on your career. It's the real path to happiness. There are plenty of sweet, obedient guys out there. No need to waste ton a jerk like him." Evelyn gave him a faint smile. "That's true." Sebastian checked the time. "Our project launches this Saturday. My dad wants to meet you for dinner. How about we go after work on Wednesday?" Evelyn knew that Graham was quite concerned about their company's project, so she nodded. "Alright."
After dinner, Evelyn stopped by the Reed residence, where Deborah m resided, to return the emerald ring. Deborah hadn't expected to see the ring again in her lifetand asked Evelyn how she found it. Evelyn only gave a soft smile and evaded the question. "It was just a matter of fate."
She didn't mention the series of events that had led up to the ring's recovery- how Lucas had bought it for Tiffany or how he had used it to coerce her into signing the agreement. She couldn't explain any of that to Deborah. She didn't want to upset her. Instead, Evelyn casually mentioned, "I've finalized the divorce paperwork. I can get the certificate in a month."
Deborah paused for a moment, then nodded with visible relief. "At least it's all over now.. But Evie, is the divorce due to a lack of affection, or was there something else?" Evelyn had already learned to handle this question with grace. "We just couldn't make it work. We didn't want to waste each other's tanymore."
