Lamar had felt an overwhelming sense of danger the moment Divine Bow appeared. Powerless to
defend against the arrow, he could only watch it approach him rapidly.
Following the noise of a loud explosion, the arrow radiated an even more foreboding aura. It seemed to
encapsulate the force of heavenly thunder, which caused Lamar to be engulfed in turbulence. His body
was met with tremendous force, and he flew backward.
Boom! Lamar crashed heavily to the ground and created a giant crater beneath him. Jared landed
slowly and looked at Lamar without uttering a word.
Earlier, he could have shot Lamar dead with that arrow. The only reason he did not kill him was that he
wanted to use the latter as a resource for cultivation. He wanted to absorb Lamar’s power to increase
his own cultivation level. White as a sheet, Lamar slowly rose to his feet and looked at Jared in
disbelief.

they had the capability to do so, Lamar would not have been able to chase them out of the Gate of Fire.
After witnessing Jared trouncing Lamar, Chester and Wayne knew for a fact that Jared was far stronger
than either of them.
The Divine Bow in Jared’s hand, especially, filled them with awe. The moment Jared took it out, the
intimidating aura it emitted had even Chester and Wayne trembling.
They were lucky to be on the same side as Jared. If they were enemies with him, he would have been
able to send them to meet their maker by using Divine Bow alone. “What is that bow, Mr. Chance? How
can it be so strong?” Wayne asked Jared curiously.
“This is Divine Bow. I guess it’s considered a divine weapon. I can only harness a tenth of its power
right now. If I could find a way to harness it fully, I might be able to shoot the sun down,” Jared replied
calmly.
With that, Chester and Wayne were even more astonished. If he could defeat Lamar with only a tenth
of Divine Bow’s power, then how powerful could it be at full strength?
At the sound of Jared’s claim, Lamar’s expression changed drastically. Although he did not know
whether Jared was speaking the truth or not, he had gotten a taste of Divine Bow’s power.
“Jared, I can give up the Gate of Fire as long as you let me and my son go.”
Lamar knew he was fighting a losing battle against Jared. After all, he had already been defeated by
Jared alone. If Chester and Wayne were to gang up on him together with Jared, he knew he would not
be able to endure even a single blow.
Besides, the disciples of Zahrin Sect were close to being annihilated by the demon beasts. It was
useless for Lamar to stay in the Gate of Fire. The secret realms would all disappear after the
restoration of spiritual energy anyway. That was why Lamar was willing to give up the Gate of Fire to
Jared. Even if Jared got his hands on it, he would not be able to have it for long.

willing to give up your cultivation to me, then I’ll let you guys live,” Jared said flatly.
Lamar exploded with anger at once. “Quit daydreaming! We’re all cultivators here. You should be well
aware that losing our cultivation is worse than death for us!”
Jared was not surprised by Lamar’s response. He knew from the start that the latter would disagree
with it. “W-Wait! I’ll do it!” Kayden yelled from where he had collapsed. “As long as you don’t kill me, I’m
willing to give you my cultivation!”
Kayden knew he was as good as dead to Jared. Even if he objected to the latter’s request, he would
not be able to stop Jared from getting his cultivation and would eventually lose his life.
After weighing things up, Kayden decided to comply with Jared’s request, giving up his cultivation so
that he could live.
