While patting her back, Veronica said, "Rumor has it, Max wasn't planning on going, but when Ke heard you would be there, he changed his mind and even forked out 20 grand for the food and drink." Eloise shook her head with a light chuckle, "He really didn't have to do that."
Seeing her laugh, Veronica said, "Looks like mentioning Max no longer gets you filed up! Makes sense, since your mind is all about Attorney Horigan now." Eloise shook her head lightly, "We're just together for now, there's no future for us." Just as Veronica was about to say something comforting, a few fashionable women walked out of the elevator.
