When the evening rolled in, Shirley wanted to refuse to go home, but when Corynn saw the dark circles under

A little while later, having changed Corynn’s bandages, the nurse left, after which, Corynn got sleepy and began
to doze off.
As she was on the verge of drifting off, she suddenly heard the faint sound of the door handle turning. Instantly,

It had been a while since the nurse left and judging by what the tsaid then, the night shift should have
started. Perhaps, the nurse had forgotten something and returned to retrieve it?

Besides, medical staff never entered without knocking at the door first. On the other hand, this person was trying
to enter in a somewhat stealthy manner.
As the door handle continued to turn, Corynn slowly turned her head away from it, fixating her eyes on the
ceiling as her heart pounded fiercely.
