Chapter 567 Dying In The Arms Of Her Lover
Holden closed his eyes briefly to think and finally nodded after his silence. “Okay. I'll pass your word on to Leader.
It'll be up to him whether he agrees or not.”
Yvette's emotions flared up as she said agitatedly, “If he doesn't go, I'm not going to go through with the marriage.
If you guys force me, I'll kill myself. My death will be on your hands and that's going to cause a huge mess, won't
it?”
“I'll pass that along to Leader as well. Do you have any more requests, Your Royal Highness?”
Yvette suddenly asked, “Holden, do you love Wendy?”
Love?
Holden narrowed his eyes and fell silent for another few seconds before he shook his head. “No, I don't. I don't
know who that is and I can't remember meeting her either. Why do you ask, Your Royal Highness?”
“Nothing. I was just curious.”
Yvette's heart leaped in excitement. It seemed like Tarragon's memory loss pill truly did work wonders.
Holden had been in love with Wendy back then and had even thought about betraying Tarragon for her. The elders
didn't let him and purposely orchestrated an accident before using that chance to give him a memory loss pill that
erased his past memories completely.
He really did forget everything.
That was a good sign. If Artemis took the pill, it would definitely cause him to lose his memories as well. Once he
forgot about Bailey, then Yvette could finally take her place.
By then, once she managed to get him to bed her, the elders would definitely force him to marry her.
After they got married, she could plant the idea of attacking the Saviors in his head as his wife. She would make
sure to convince him to personally slit Bailey's throat.
Dying by your lover's hand. That was definitely going to be interesting. She couldn't wait to see the expression on
Bailey's face when it happened.
Follow on NovᴇlEnglish.nᴇtThis is a perfect plan! I really need to thank Sofie for giving me that idea. Once I become Tarragon's queen, I'm
going to bless her with the honor of being the first one to die.
She wanted to torture her relentlessly and finally get revenge for her mother.
...
Bailey scoffed quietly once she heard about Justin's choice from Artemis.
It looked like Veronique made the right choice and so did she.
If that guy really did get a divorce with Vero for the sake of the Campbell family, then she no longer had to give him
the time of day.
“Is that what you want too, Mr. Luther? To defend your lover against all odds, including your own mother?”
Artemis rose an eyebrow and said with a smile, “That won't happen to us. My mother is more than satisfied with
you. She keeps asking about when the wedding will be held. She's not going to force me to marry another woman.”
Bailey chuckled. “So you're throwing your buddy under the bus?”
Artemis smirked and said coolly, “Yes. It's not me who's getting hurt, anyway.”
Bailey shook her head as she laughed. Then, she quickly changed the topic. “I should still contact Raiden. I need to
ask if he can save Justin's uncle. Unless, of course, he messed up big time. If he's the mastermind behind it all, then
he deserves to stay in jail for at least a few years. No one can save him if that's the case.”
“You really do hate as strongly as you love. Sure, then. I'm not the keenest on you going to find him, but I kind of did
bring this upon us. Justin's hurting badly enough as it is, so as a friend, I should help him. Maybe I should say, you're
helping him.”
Bailey glared at him. “You really know how to pick and choose your words, huh?”
...
Justin met Bill at the Revelle residence and told him about his decision.
“We'll need to trouble you to watch over Zephyr once Vero and I are gone.”
Bill looked away slightly and said, “Why should I take care of your son? You should make sure to come back alive.
Neither of you is allowed to die, you hear me? I know your mother well. She loves you more than she loves herself.
I'm sure she won't want to kill herself anymore after this scare. Don't worry.”
Justin smiled lightly. He could no longer control his mother's will to die.
As of now, all he could do was stay by Vero's side and spend her last few moments on Earth with her.
“Thank you. However, even if my mother stops putting her life in danger, I will still be by Vero's side. I'll be there for
her no matter where she goes.”
Bill tossed a magazine at Justin's face and said angrily, “You little punk. Can't you just hope she gets better? Why
are you so negative? I've never seen a more pessimistic doctor.”
“Yes, sir. I'll be more positive about it and do my best to cure Vero.”
Bill opened his mouth in an attempt to say something a little bit nicer, but he just couldn't put his pride aside.
He ended up just waving a hand as he said stiffly, “Leave. Go and spend more time with my daughter. If you hurt
her again, I'll make sure you live in living hell.”
Justin smiled like a child who had just been complimented by an adult. After thanking Bill profusely, he finally left.
Artemis rose an eyebrow and said with a smile, “That won't happen to us. My mother is more than satisfied with
you. She keeps asking about when the wedding will be held. She's not going to force me to marry another woman.”
Bill couldn't help but shake his head at Justin's retreating figure.
It seemed like it was God's plan to force them together. Not even a crane could pull them apart. It seemed like they
were truly meant to be.
The two of them had been through so much that Bill, as a father, simply couldn't find it in himself to give them any
more stress.
Huh!
Victor had managed to sell ten percent of his shares in the commodities trading market.
Lionel commanded his assistant to buy those shares right after he heard the news.
He wasn't trying to boast about his money, either. The company belonged to Vincent and he had spent his whole

As her husband, he couldn't do anything too obvious. Thus, he tried his best to keep everything under wraps and
minimize the damage.
He asked her last night whether she wanted him to take control of Saunders Group.
She shook her head and said, “Such is fate. They'll reap what they've sown, and there's nothing they can do about
it.
...
Back in Bailey's bedroom in the Luther residence, she was placing a call in front of the French windows.
“I'll leave it to you, Raiden. If Mr. Campbell really was the mastermind behind it all, then just forget I ever said
anything. If he was scammed into taking part, then please help me pull some strings.”
Raiden agreed without hesitation.
“Okay. I'll get someone to investigate the background of the case. If he wasn't a part of any major crimes, then I'll
do my best to get him out of jail.”
“Thank you.”
“There's no need for us to be so courteous.”
Bailey laughed out loud. “Okay, my bad. I won't say that word ever again.”
“That's more like it. By the way, Dellmoor has sent someone after that Willing Angels Foundation embezzlement
case. Do you need me to step up and settle it?”
Bailey laughed. “Do you guys think I'm weak or do you just not trust me? You're all so nervous. What could possibly
happen?”
“So many things have already happened to you that I'd rather ask the question, what couldn't possibly happen?
Take care of yourself. Don't let other people worry about you so much.”
Bailey couldn't help but mutter under her breath, “It's not like I ask you to worry about me.”
Raiden chuckled out of exasperation. “You heartless woman. Serves you right!”
