Chapter 566 I Want Bailey Jefferson Dead
The fact that these people were the core members of the Department of Justice reflected how important this
matter was to the higher-ups.
Bailey smiled nonchalantly upon learning the news.
It looks like a certain official is about to fall in Hallsbay, and the mayor's going to deal with the aftermath too.
Zeke called her to ask if she needed his help getting through this ordeal.
The woman chuckled. “I found myself a man so he can support me. What good would Artemis be if you're the one
taking care of everything?”
Zeke couldn't contain his laughter. “I guess he's a good-for-nothing, then. I thought of helping you clear your name
as early as possible then take you home to the Shurmer family.”
“Forget it,” Bailey responded without a second thought. “Your mother isn't going to welcome me, and I'd only make
things difficult for you. Don't do anything to disrupt the peace in your family.”
Then, she realized she might have spoken too frankly. “I don't have a grudge against your mother,” she explained
hastily. “I don't hate her, but I can't see myself loving her either. She's like a stranger who has no effect on my
emotions.”
“I know, Bay. You don't have to get all nervous. Things will get better between you both one day.”

Upon returning to the Xuereb residence, Justin knelt on the floor before his mother, who now looked slightly better.
Ambrose must have successfully convinced her to eat.
An ominous feeling rose in Olivia's chest as she saw her son kneel. “W-What are you doing?” she asked in a hoarse
voice.
Justin raised his head. “I'm sorry. There's just no way I can force myself to marry Scarlett. I don't love her. Even if
we do get married, she'd spend the rest of her life alone. And if the Fletchers find out about this, our family would
only be in bigger trouble.”
“Y-Y-You!”
The woman pointed at him, unable to utter a word.
I thought he came back because he's finally figured it out, and this is what he tells me.
“So, you're going to just watch me die?”
“Your life is in your own hands. If dying is what you want, I have no choice but to accept that. I can't control your
thoughts.”
“Fine! Then I'll die! There's no way you and that b*tch from the Revelle family will still be together after I'm gone!”
Justin shook his head and replied firmly, “Of course, we wouldn't be able to stay together if you die. When her
time's up, I'll meet you in the afterlife with her and ask for your forgiveness.”
Olivia quivered with rage as she heard that.
Is he threatening me with his own life?
She was willing to die, but that didn't mean she wanted her own son to die too.
Yet, his response made it clear that he truly had no qualms about dying.
“Hahaha! I can't believe I raised such an amazing son like you! Get out. Get out of my room now! I don't want to
see you again.”
Justin bowed to her before slowly rising to his feet.
“You decide your own fate. I won't get in your way. In any case, I've made my intentions clear: if you die, Vero and I
will see you soon after and apologize to you.”
“Get out!”

Meanwhile, at the West residence, Chloe tugged on her mother's arm. “Mommy, I heard Mr. Lewis of Dellmoor has
arrived in Hallsbay. You have to convince Dad to talk to him so he can sentence Bailey to death. I want that b*tch
dead,” she urged.
“Y-Y-You!”
The woman pointed at him, unable to utter a word.

ever been given a death sentence for embezzlement. It's life imprisonment at most. Besides, what's the point of
having her die? Wouldn't it be better for her to spend the rest of her days getting tormented in prison? I'd say that's
the sweetest revenge you could ask for.”
Chloe gnashed her teeth. “Someone will try to bail her out as long as she's alive. Killing her is the only way to
prevent that.”
Laura sighed. “You might think so, but it's not like your father can openly misuse his power. He'd get into huge
trouble for that. You wouldn't want him to lose his position, would you?”
“Mom!” Chloe glared at her. “Look at what that b*tch did to me! What's the point of Dad being the mayor if the
culprit's allowed to get away with her crimes?”
Laura pondered over the matter in frustration before concluding, “I'll talk to your father so he'll let you buy Mr.
Lewis over, then. You should be able to get Bailey executed if it works out.”
“Okay. Hurry! We have to get Mr. Lewis to sentence Bailey to death—even if it means using up half of our assets.”

Elsewhere, Yvette had something to discuss with Holden Lewitt inside the study of one of Tarragon's branches.
“What have you asked to see me for, Your Royal Highness?” asked Holden.
Yvette pursed her lips and clenched her teeth. “I agree to the marriage, so please let Leader know that I'll be
making my way to the headquarters for the wedding in two days. I only have one request, which is for him to be
there in my father's stead. It would be my greatest honor to have him send me off.”
