Chapter 235 Take the Knife
Chad quickly left with his men. Rayan was forced back by Hendry’s gaze.
Hendry grabbed Kaylah’s hand and brought her to his exclusive elevator. Then, he asked gently, “Kaylah, are you here to look for me?”
Kaylah had goosebumps from his gentle tone.
She had never heard that tone before, and for some reason, she felt a little annoyed.
Kaylah said coldly, “No, I am here to deliver a takeout.”
“Takeout?” Hendry glanced at her thermos and smiled, “Is this for me?”
“It’s for a jerk who might be dead!”
When Hendry heard Kaylah’s angry way of addressing him, he actually chuckled.
“Got it. Thank you, Kaylah.”

Her hair was as soft and smooth as he imagined.
However, Kaylah slapped his hand away and snapped, “Who allowed you to touch me?”
Hendry raised his voice. “Sorry, I couldn’t hold back.”
Kaylah frowned and felt his tone was too frivolous.
He didn’t sound like a good man.
Kaylah tutted. “Since the takeout is delivered, I’ll be leaving.”
She was about to press the button for the first floor when Hendry grabbed her hand.
“You’re already here. Please take a look at my office first.”
Hendry brought her to his office despite her reluctance.
Kaylah was forced into the office. Just as she was about to struggle, she heard Hendry hiss and start to
pretend to be pitiful. “Stop it. I have injuries in my hand.”
Speaking of that, Kaylah became angry.
“Since you know you are injured, why did you leave the hospital? Do you think you are invincible? Or are
you overconfident?”
Kaylah kept chattering.
She hadn’t dared to say that to Hendry, but after returning home, she had been spoiled by Zion and
became wayward again.
Hendry smiled and lowered his voice as he whispered in Kaylah’s ear, “Are you worried about me?”
Kaylah glared at him. “Don’t flatter yourself. Who would worry about you?”

“Iced coffee? What? Do you want to die?”
Kaylah was used to ridiculing Zion at home, so she spoke impolitely.
Hendry and his secretary were stupefied. The secretary widened his eyes in horror, who did not. expect that someone would dare to speak to Hendry in such a tone. Kaylah was a warrior!
Just when the secretary thought Kaylah was doomed for sure, Hendry actually compromised, “Then what do you want to drink?”
Kaylah said impatiently, “Just water!”
Hendry smiled helplessly and said to the secretary gently, “Then I’ll have to trouble you with two glasses of water.”
The secretary was shocked.
He left in a daze and went to the tea room.
The other secretaries immediately went over to ask him about Kaylah’s identity and what had just happened.
Hendry noticed the secretaries‘ curious gazes and could not help but chuckle. “You were so harsh on me just now. If word gets out, everyone might think I am afraid of my wife.”
After Kaylah heard that, she almost threw away the things in her hand.
