Chapter 1354 Indescribable Helplessness and Despair Alex wasn't ready to face the truth. The last bit of color drained from his face, but he still refused to believe it.
Raymond patted his shoulder. "Head back to the car and stay there. The higher-ups will be here soon. Don't worry about me. Mr. Murray will buystto get away. Catch you later, Alex." But when would that be? No one could say for sure.
Alex stood there, stiff and silent.
As Raymond walked away, he added, "Check your phone later. Victor's smart; he might've planted something on it." Alex still didn't respond. He felt weak, an invisible fear creeping up his spine, like a moth caught in a spider's web.
He didn't know anything yet, not even that he was trapped.

That sense of helplessness and despair was indescribable.
When Raymond returned to the yacht, Walter was still lounging in his chair, eyes half-closed.
Walter's face was expressionless, but all the bodyguards had disappeared, fearing Walter's wrath.
Raymond walked over and kicked the lounge chair. "Takeback." Walter slowly opened his eyes and smirked. "What do you think this is, your home?" "Aren't you supposed to have dinner with Ms. Montgomery? Why aren't you in a hurry? Did you hear about the guy you once blinded and now you're too scared to go back, afraid of dragging Ms. Montgomery into it?" Walter sat up scrutinizing. Raymond. "Do,vou know where he is?" He was referring to Walter's older brother, the only one who had miraculously survived the explosion. His older brother had received a last-minute notice and avoided the blast but was still injured.
Walter feared him because he was the most ruthless, the one responsible for Walter's miserable life.
Walter now had someone he cared about, but Anouk's calls still went to his bodyguard's phone, showing he never contacted Anouk directly, fearing something might happen to him.
Raymond replied, "He's in my underground fight club. Takeback, and I'll hand him over to you personally." Walter knew about the underground fight club but didn't expect his brother to hide there.

Raymond sat in the chair next to him, gazing at the blue sky and white clouds.
Walter wasn't interested in the chaos in Silver Bay City, but he knew Raymond had caused a lot of trouble. Raymond suddenly asked, "Walter, the higher-ups must know I smuggled in on your boat, right?" "So what? The Perez family's boats aren't subject to any inspections. If their people are too incompetent to catch you when you landed, that's their problem. If they were my people, I'd throw them all into the sea to feed the sharks." Walter did things his own way, but his attitude was helpful in critical moments.
Raymond extended a hand. "I think we can still work together." "Get lost." Walter didn't even look at him.

Victor casually twirled the glass in his hand. The old man sat across from him.
It was already evening. Victor had just met with Jason, informing him that he hadn't found any leads on hadn't/found Tessa. Jason didn't seem surprised, likely having anticipated this outcome.
The old man coughed twice, his voice tinged with a smile, Reymondi§!! starting to suspect you. How will you clear your name?" Victor's fingers paused. "Why would I clear my name?" The old man looked puzzled, unable to guess Victor's next move.
Victor set down his glass. "I need to go."
"Victor, you know from the bug that they're all looking for the man with the more by his earlobe. Aren't you going to cover it up?" Victor slowly reached up and pinched his earlobe. "No need."
