Chapter 732 Nina looked at Lizzy, her eyes red with guilt and a hint of embarrassment. Her lips quivered as she struggled to say, "I'm sorry." Lizzy gently patted Nina's head, offering a warm smile. "Even though you betrayed the leader, I won't hold it against you." Through her tears, Nina asked, "I messed up, so why would you forgive me?" Lizzy let out a soft sigh, "The leader always said that if we got upset with you, it would put our sister in a tough spot. He couldn't stand to see her caught in the middle, so he always forgave you. No matter what happens, we won't be mad at you." Tears streamed down Nina's face.

"When Dad left, it hurt so much. But I had my reasons..." Lizzy interrupted gently, "Let's leave the past in the past. You have no idea how heartbroken your mom was after he left. From now on, let's keep him in our hearts." "Alright." Lizzy extended her hand, "Chwith me." Nina shook her head, "I can't go with you." "Why not?" "I've got unfinished business." Lizzy was taken aback.

Nina continued, "Tell Mom I love her dearly." With that, she turned and sprinted away without looking back. Lizzy sighed deeply.

In the hospital room, Greta was sharing the cramped space with a few other patients. The small room had four beds in a row, with Greta's being the one by the door.

When Nathalie walked in, the other patients were amazed. "Wow, she's stunning." Nathalie gave them a dazzling smile, "Thanks for the kind words." She was dressed to the nines in an elegant gown, complete with a stunning floral pin. Her makeup was perfect, her skin smooth and radiant.

Her beauty was so striking, it seemed almost ethereal.

Her allure was in stark contrast to Greta's sickly appearance-pale, swollen, and weary. It was like comparing a polished gem to a rough stone.

Greta felt a wave of anger, "What are you doing here? I don't need you checking up on me." Nathalie gracefully pulled up a chair and sat down in front of her.

"You've got it wrong. As Ms. Nathalie, I don't just visit anyone," she said, her posture impeccable.

"Yeah, right." Greta clearly didn't buy it. Nathalie had a reputation for being sharp-tongued, but despite her harsh words, she'd always been there when Greta and her mom needed help.

She had a big heart, really.

But this time, Greta was off the mark.

Nathalie's next words were like a cold bucket of water, "I'm not here for you. I'm here for Nathan." Greta's face burned with humiliation, but she refused to believe that Nathalie didn't care at all.

She knew Nathalie too well-having grown up without much affection, she had developed a habit of trying to please everyone. If Greta showed even a hint of kindness, Nathalie would be back, eager to help. "And why should I help you?" Greta asked, trying to sound aloof.

"Because of that unreliable body of yours..." Nathalie teased, pressing lightly on Greta's swollen leg.

"Imagine if Cameron goes broke.

What then? You won't have money for dialysis, no funds for a transplant, for a not even for meds! Your body will swell with fluid, and you'll feel like you're bursting at the seams. You'll be living a nightmare... And when that tcomes, won't you ccrawling tofor help?"

Imagining herself in such a desperate situation, Greta felt a shiver of fear. "Cameron wouldn't leavehigh and dry. Neither would Mom." mmMwWLlilofiflo&1 mmMwWLlilofiflo&1 mmMwWLlilofiflo&1 mmMwWLlilofiflo&1 mmMwWLliIofifl0&1 mmMwWLlilofiflo&1
