Ruka instinctively pushed him away, but Ren was forceful and wouldn’t let her refuse. He pulled her

close into his embrace and put his chin on her head. “All you have to do is just stay by my side, and I’ll

handle the rest. I’ll handle it all, whether it’s from the public or the elders.”

At that moment, Ruka was concerned about him. Isn’t he tired from dealing with all these matters? she

thought.

She felt aggrieved about this whole situation, and she pouted. “I haven’t even had a proper
