Chapter 618 Yasmine's face was like a thundercloud ready to burst.
Selena's whole vibe screamed that she thought Yasmine was nothing more than a minion, just there to give her the rundown. Her arrogance and the way she carried herself, so cool and collected, made Yasmine's blood boil. In Yasmine's mind, Selena should've been the poster child for a scorned wife, devastated by her husband's betrayal. But the buzz around town was that Selena was living it up with Mr. Everett's platinum card, hitting the casino, and going on a shopping spree in all the high-end stores. She was buying everything in sight without a care.
Yasmine couldn't even begin to fathom how much Selena had blown of Mr. Everett's money. The extravagance of it all made her insides twist.
Yasmine just glared at her in silence, while Selena, completely unfazed, lazily reminded her, "You've got one minute left." "You..." Yasmine clenched her fists, finally snapping back to why she was here in the first place.
Last night, not long after she got back to her room, Alex had sent someone with instructions to move her to the estate. She wasn't clueless; she knew Mr. Everett wanted her nowhere near Selena, to keep from stirring the pot.

Pretending to go along with it, she had slipped back in without anyone noticing.
When Joy handed her the pendant, she had spelled it out: the woman who saved Mr. Everett back in the countryside, the one he couldn't shake from his memory, was actually Selena! Mr. Everett had just forgotten.
If Mr. Everett fell for Selena's emotional games and spilled the beans, Yasmine's cover as a fake would be blown sky-high. Selena, after all, hadn't lost her memory.
She had to stop that from happening.
Otherwise, everything she had given up, the life she had clawed her way into, would disappear like a puff of smoke.
She had already experienced the harsh drop from luxury to poverty and had zero intention of going through that again.
With these thoughts in mind, Yasmine pulled herself together. When she looked up again, her eyes were brimming with fake tears.
"Selena, I know... I've done you wrong. If I had a choice, I wouldn't have fallen for a married man, but who can really control the heart?" "Sure, I'm guilty, but love isn't. You and Mr. Everett have a son, and he can't just up and leave you two. I get that because I love him so much." "So I don't want to put him in a tough spot. Don't worry, I'm planning to head overseas to stay out of your way. I won't be coming back to. Newport. Just... let Mr. Everett visitnow and then, and I'll be happy." QUMS "You'll be here, I'll be over there, and we'll stay out of each other's hair. Mr. Everett won't have to stress. Isn't that perfect?" She delivered such shameless lines with complete conviction.
Selena just chuckled.
Jenny's words of caution rang in her out for Yasmine; women ears: ble beginnings, who lack from shame, morals, and boundaries, are the hardest to handle.
And it was spot on.

Yasmine was in a class of her own.
Three years ago, Selena would've lost her cool, but now she was a different woman.
Casually admiring her freshly manicured nails, she acted like she hadn't heard Yasmine's goading words: Her lips curled into a sly smile as she tossed out a simple question. "Have you slept with Everett?" Yasmine was floored.
After all her talking, Selena had let it roll off her back, only to hit her with thath
Her cheeks went crimson as she finally blurted, "Selena saying stuff like that in public, have you no shame?"
