"Ms. Graham, we know we were wrong. We shouldn't have been swayed by others. From now on, we'll follow you
honestly and won't stray again." George spoke up, willing to swallow his pride for the group.
"Everyone needs to submit a written reflection by the end of the day. That's all. You're dismissed," Angela replied
coolly, then went back to her tasks.
The others were left looking at each other in confusion.
Callum happened to be in the executive office today.
Angela paused outside the office to gather her thoughts. Just as she was about to knock, the door opened, and a
familiar face appeared. It was Finn.
Angela wondered why he was here.
“Angela, cin," Finn greeted her with a gentle smile. “Are you looking for my brother?"
Angela was taken aback. She had thought Finn was an orphan.

highly of her. With this connection, it was no surprise she had been promoted to department head. The thought
made her feel a little disheartened.
"What is it?" Callum's expression was cold and distant.
Angela quickly explained about her “resignation”, but Callum merely gave a faint smile.
"Don't worry. No one can make you leave unless you choose to," he said before resuming his work.
"| didn't expect you and Mr. Snowden to be so close. No wonder you're both so impressive, Angela remarked
casually to Finn.
He seemed distracted. His expression mirrored the cold, distant look Callum had earlier in the office.
"What's wrong?” Angela asked.
She realized she might have pried too much and felt a bit awkward.
"There's stension betweenand my brother, but it's nothing,” Finn replied, quickly putting on a smile.
"Would you like to grab lunch this afternoon? It's been a while."

In the afternoon, Finn was waiting for her downstairs to go to lunch. When she got in the car, she was surprised
to see Callum there too. The atmosphere between him and Finn seemed to have relaxed, and it looked like their
conflict had been resolved.
The three of them went to the Prestige Marina Mall to eat at a steakhouse-a choice made out of respect for
Angela's preference.
Since it was Friday, the place was packed, so they chose an outdoor table.
While they waited for their food, Angela casually scanned the area. Out of the corner of her eye, she caught sight

She felt a twinge of curiosity but quickly dismissed it, deciding it was none of her business.
The food arrived soon after, and Angela chatted lightly with Finn. Meanwhile, Callum sat nearby, exuding a calm,
authoritative presence. He sipped his red wine but barely touched his meal.
Suddenly, a sharp male voice cut through the air. “Don't cany closer, or I'll kill her!”
It was followed by loud screams and the terrified cries of a child.
