First Love 42
Chapter 42
Angela said calmly, "As long as we sign the divorce papers and get the divorce certificate, you and | will part
ways cleanly.
"With your generosity, | trust you won't use the Graham family to manipulateor threatenagain. | hope
we can sever all tles, lleally never to cross paths again."
She continued, "I would be grateful for your magnanimity then, Mr. Bamford."
"Mr. Bamford, our subsidiary will be going public next year. If the divorce agreement is made public, it could
harm your and the company's image," Winston interjected.
Dexter's expression changed slightly. But before he could respond, Angela took over the
conversation.
"I can sign a non-disclosure agreement for three years. During that time, | will keep our divorce private. I'll

Dexter, livid with anger, laughed mockingly. "You really thought this through, Angela. How c| never noticed
how eloquent you are before?"
Without a word, Angela took the pen and glanced quickly at the divorce terms. "I said | don't want any money."
The contract stated that Dexter would pay her 80 million dollars as a separation fee, along with two villas and
two luxury cars worth around three million dollars each.
These assets would be enough for her to live comfortably for the rest of her life. But she didn't want to take
anything from him.
"I'm not so petty that I'd let a woman leave with nothing after a divorce." Dexter snorte... snatching the contract
from her hands.
"Since you're so determined, we'll do it your way. For three years, keep your mouth shut. If anyone finds out
about our divorce and it affects my company's reputation, you'll pay for it.
He then signed his non the contract. His signature was bold and elegant.
Angela's face lit up with a smile as she quickly signed her name, almost as if she were afraid Dexter might
change his mind.
"I'm leaving now," she said, grabbing her bag. We'll meet at the courthouse tomorrow at 8:00 am. There's a one-
month cooling-off period before the divorce process can be finalized."
With that, she hurriedly left.
"You all leave too!" Dexter growled as he swept the documents off the table.
The vast living room fell into an eerie silence.
As Dexter stood there, surrounded by emptiness, his mind drifted back to the day Angela first arrived at Bamford
Estate.
“Dexter, I'll be living with you from now on. I'm so happy!"
At that time, Angela had been radiant, like a blooming rose. Now, all he felt was irritation.
She had been nothing more than a woman he didn't care for -a problem he couldn't shake off. He would never

The next morning, at 8:00 am sharp, Angela arrived at the courthouse.
She had been so excited the night before that she hadn't slept at all. She woke up at 5:00 am and picked out a
stylish red dress she had once been too reluctant to wear, paired with a pair of strappy high heels.
She even applied a stunning makeup look, transforming her usual innocent image into a captivating vixen.
A woman passing by the courthouse asked with a smile, "Miss, are you here to get married? Where's your
husband?" Her arm was wrapped around her husband's. Both of them looked happy and in love.
