Chapter 81 "It's just a car I borrowed from a friend. Con, get in, and I'll take you to the tour group," I said, patting the seat. Sylvia hesitantly got in, looking a bit tense.
The morning rush hour had already ended, and there was no traffic. We reached the meeting point of the tour group quite quickly.
The staff loaded Sylvia's luggage onto the bus and began ushering the rest of the group to prepare for departure.
I looked at Sylvia, feeling a pang of reluctance. Ever since she arrived at the train station, the number of times we met were few and short.

I pulled out a bank card I had prepared earlier from my bag. Since my original card was left in Carzonia and I couldn't return there, I had to go to the bank with my ID and get a replacement.
"There's a few thousand dollars on this card. I've saved it in the past few months. The PIN is my birthday." "If you see something you like on the trip, just buy it. Don't be frugal. This money is for you. I'm sorry I can't go on this trip with you, but I promise I'll make it up to you when I get the chance." I had considered setting up a couple account for Sylvia, but she declined, so I dropped the idea.
Sylvia bit her lip as she looked at the card before taking it from my hand, her eyes glistening with tears.
"I know, Hudson. I'll take care of myself. Thank you for the card. And, I'm an adult, not a child. I can handle things on my own." I watched Sylvia get on the bus, and then watched as the tour group drove away.
As the bus and her figure grew smaller and eventually disappeared from view, I turned around and drove back to the company.
"So, now that you've sent your girlfriend off, there should be nothing left holding you back, right?" A familiar voice sounded.
I looked up to see Zion standing there. His expression was arrogant. He shook his car keys at me, flaunting his wealth.
"Zion, why are you here?" I was puzzled by his sudden appearance. I had only told him that I was taking Sylvia to join a tour group and handled everything else alone. How did he know the tand place? Zion snorted and said sarcastically, "Of course I know. I followed you the whole way." "Someone didn't even last three hours at work before sneaking off to the underground parking lot and leaving the company. As your direct superior, when I couldn't reach you by phone and you didn't respond to my messages, I had to follow and see what was going on. You didn't even apply for leave and just skipped work. I couldn't just let that go." "I had already told Selena yesterday," I explained. But Zion didn't care and continued lecturingabout company policy, even threatening to deduct my pay as punishment. It didn't matter to me. I didn't care about that meager amount of money.
Thinking of Sylvia, who had just left, I felt lost. "Zion, when do you think Selena's illness will get better?" Zion sighed and shook his head.

"No idea. Maybe it's already improving, or maybe it take awhile.
We're not doctors, and even doctors wouldn't dare give you an exact time." Hearing this, I could only sigh helplessly.
I could only hope that Selena's condition would get better and she would recover soon.
