Chapter 79 Although Selena seemed somewhat reluctant, she eventually letgo.
After work, I stepped out of the elevator and Selena followed, grabbing my arm. She touched her pocket and handedher car keys.
"Hudson, my car is in the company's underground parking lot. Let's go htogether. It's been so long since I've been your passenger." I looked at the keys and sighed helplessly.
We then walked to the parking lot together.
It was large and almost empty, filled with various luxury cars. I pressed the button, and found the Mercedes following the signal.
Follow on NovᴇlEnglish.nᴇtThat Mercedes was the one she bought as a reward after landing her first big project, using three months of allowance she had saved.
She wanted to gift it toat that time, but it was too flashy, so I declined.
In truth, I also didn't dare to accept it.
"Is this the Mercedes you bought with your savings back then?" I asked cautiously, curious to see if she still remembered.
"Hudson, so you still remember." "Yeah, this is the one I saved up for. Look how well I've maintained it. It's been four or five years, and it still looks new. You wouldn't believe how much I spent on keeping it in good condition." "That's great, but you don't need to go to such lengths." I sighed and shook my head.
"Selena, it's not like you don't have money. When you find a better car, just buy it. It's normal to upgrade. If this one doesn't work anymore, just replace it. There's no need to invest so much emotion into it." I wasn't sure if she understood what I was implying, but I had expressed myself.
We had indeed shared seven or eight years together, but if those feelings had already broken and we both found someone better, there was no need to cling to the past.
Selena just smiled silently. I opened the car door, and she got into the passenger seat. On the way back, neither of us spoke.
We returned to her house.
When I switched on the light, there was a faint smell of dust.
Selena hadn't been hfor about a month or two, and it seemed she had forgotten to hire a cleaning service to cby regularly.
Seeing this, she scratched her head awkwardly but changed into slippers and went upstairs. Standing at the top of the stairs, she called out towith a smile, "Hudson, upstairs is pretty clean. It's late, so we should just shower and sleep." I nodded. When I cout of the bathroom, I saw her sitting on the bed in a bathrobe.

Her hair was damp and draped over her shoulders. Without the bun she always tied up in the morning, she looked more relaxed now. "You've washed your hair, so you should dry it. Sleeping with wet hair can make you dizzy," I reminded her out of concern.
She didn't move, so I sighed and picked up the hairdryer to help her.
Selena sat quietly as I dried her hair.
"Hudson, no matter how I choose, you're still the one who treatsbest. If only we could spend our lives like this forever." Hearing her words, I didn't respond and kept drying her hair.
When I finished, I put away the hairdryer and opened the wardrobe. I was surprised to see it was filled with my clothes, all neatly hung and untouched.
I frowned and picked one up, realizing they were all new, and the m tags were still attached to it. A e seemed they were clothes Selena had bought to match my style. But why would she know about these clothes?
