Chapter 432:
“Mom! Stop that!” Belinda exclaimed in shock, sitting up quickly to catch Holley’s hand. “You didn’t mean to do
it. Why blyourself for that?”
Kenia scowled at Holley. “Holley, it's crucial you stop this pattern of self-punishment. You always do this when
you blyourself.”
Holley pressed her lips together, choosing to keep quiet.
Kenia then continued, “You can’t hold yourself responsible. | wasn’t aware of Belinda’s allergy to artichokes,
either. You shouldn't blyourself for not knowing that.”

Holley’s frown deepened. “It's just so hard, thinking about her fainting right when she was performing surgery...”
She paused for a moment and then spoke again with remorse. “If | hadn’t made that breakfast for you, you
wouldn't have suffered an allergic reaction. You passed out right when you were performing the surgery and
couldn't complete it successfully.”
It was your first tleading as a surgeon! | just... | can’t stop blaming myself...”
Before Holley could say more, Belinda interrupted, “Mom, don’t be so hard on yourself. | completed the surgery
successfully.”
“What?” Holley’s expression changed tically when she heard that.
Yet within moments, she realized something was amiss with her response.

Belinda froze for a second upon hearing this.
She hadn't anticipated that Lucas would have disclosed that information to her grandmother.
She quickly explained, “Yes, | did faint, but it was only after | had pushed through to complete the surgery. Thus,
the surgery was indeed a success.”
“You... You reckless girl! How could you have taken such a risk?” Holley’s voice rose, her expression turning to

medical attention! Do you not care about your own health?”
Holley’s frustration was evident as she spoke, her chest rising and falling rapidly.
“She has a point, Belinda. Your actions were incredibly reckless. You should put your health first, no matter
what,” Kenia said, shaking her head in dismay.
Belinda felt compelled to explain herself, saying, “The patient was in a dire state at that time. There was no time
to bring in another doctor.”
“I have experienced allergic reactions before and knew | could endure long enough. Look, I've managed to pull
through, right?”
“You were playing with fire! You're going to drivemad!” Holley exclaimed, her anger palpable.
