The next day, Chasel calone to Evadne's villa to see the couple.
"Chasel, where's my brother?"
Evadne greeted him as they settled into the cozy living room, while Thaddeus cin with a plate of freshly cut
fruit slices, playing the perfect host.
"Cassius is back hlooking after Dad and packing up; we're heading back to M Country in a couple of days."

Over the years, my father, Zachary, has pulled together top national talent in drug research, pouring virtually all
of the company's resources into it. There have been rumors of progress, but I'm skeptical. It's not that easy.

"He might be driven to such extrmeasures for his own mother," Thaddeus connected the dots, voicing her
thoughts.
"But it's strange, the Chambers Group never announced a pharmaceutical division, and they don't seem to own
any drug companies."
The more Evadne thought about it, the more suspicious she was. "Avery suddenly emerging to develop this drug
and conducting experiments in secret. Although he's vile, he doesn't seem like the kind of person who could plan
such a crime; this doesn't seem like his field of expertise."
