Sarah passed by the door, arms crossed over her chest.

Serena turned her head to glance at her.
"Right. After playing guard dog forall these years, you're not even moving out to a bigger place. You're just

Sarah stomped her foot, fuming.

Before Serena could respond, Howard's face darkened.

with Rachel. You two need to get along. I'm doing this for your own good.

His words sounded concerned, but all Serena felt was disgust.
She was perfectly capable of taking care of herself. Why should she place her future in the hands of a half-
brother who hadn't even been born yet?
And besides, Hugh wasn't dying. He simply couldn't have kids.
