When Tyler brought the news back to the hospital, Catlin was so furious that she ranted for ten minutes. “Damn
it! How could I have given birth to such a disgrace?”
She insisted. “We must send her away, no matter what. We have to get rid of her?
If Stephanie remained in Long Harbor and the high-society ladies found out that she was willing to prostitute
herself for smoney-making projects, the Hart family’s reputation would be completely ruined.
Olivia was also surprised that Stephanie had left the police station so quickly, and worse, she was taken away by

Ella said, “My mom received strict orders not to collaborate with you and askedto pass it along.”
They had been working behind the scenes before; now it seemed they were going all out.
Shut down my studio? Hmph, just how much do those people listen to Olivia?‘ she wondered.
“Thank Mrs. Turner for me. Let her know | have plenty of projects lined up, and she doesn’t need to worry,”
Stephanie replied.
“She's given you a big project,” Ella added.
Stephanie was momentarily stunned. Ella envied her, while Stephanie envied Ella for having such a wonderful
mother.
“Then thank her for me,” Stephanie said.
“No problem. Do you need any more help over there? | guess you won't. Let Sebastian take care of them,” Ella
suggested.
Previously, Ella might have been worried that Stephanie couldn’t handle the Hart family, but now there was no
need.
With such a powerful brother, taking them down would be a piece of cake.
Stephanie said, “I don’t need Sebastian's help. I've got my own plans. If he steps in, everything gets wrapped up
too quickly; where's the fun in that?”.
Ella replied, “True. If you're going after Olivia, you have to cut deep, one slice at a time. Letting her off easy
would be way
too merciful.”

Seeing that Stephanie was in a good mood, Ella felt reassured.
The two chatted for a while longer before hanging up.
Just then, an unknown number popped up on Stephanie’s screen.
This time, she didn’t decline the call. She answered, “Hello?”
“Was it Macro who bailed you out, or was it that man?” Chris’ voice cthrough, gritted and furious.

Stephanie had no idea why he was so pissed off but guessed it had something to do with her release.
After all, back then, Chris, Tyler, and Catlin were all eager to seepay for Olivia. Looking at it now, their
righteous outrage was nothing more than ridiculous arrogance.
Stephanie let out a soft chuckle. “Does it really matter who gotout? It wasn’t you, that’s for sure, my dear
ex-fiancé.”
The moment those words hit Chris’ ears, they felt like needles, sharp and piercing.

shut.
“Where are you right now?” he asked.
“What do you want?” Stephanie asked, her tone amused.
