Chapter 1709
Estelle chuckled softly, “Yes, don’t be hard on Mr. Tucker. It was my choice to return.”
Jonathan knew Estelle had poured a lot of effort into this play, so he didn’t say anything else. Instead, he merely
said, “Next time something like this happens, tell me right away. No more secrets.”
“Understood.” Estelle smiled, “I’m hungry. I’m going to grab something to eat.”
Listening to her perfunctory tone, Jonathan was annoyed but held back his irritation, “Go ahead, eat well, and
stay away from cold food”
“Got it!” Estelle obediently responded.
In the afternoon,
Magdalen called Estelle, saying she was free and asked if she wanted to hang out.
Follow on NovᴇlEnglish.nᴇtEstelle, holding a script in her hand, scribbling notes, responded, “I’m at work. I don’t have time.”
“Are you at the theater? When do you finish?” Magdalen asked.
“Around five, I guess!”
“Then I’ll come pick you up at five!” Magqdalen’s voice was crisp and decisive, “Tell Mr. Lamont that you’re taking
the evening off. We’re going out for drinks!”
Estelle paused her pen and asked, “So, haven’t you and Morrison made up yet?”
“No!” Magdalen responded nonchalantly.
“Antonia’s gone. What issues are left to sort out?” Estelle frowned.
“We’ll talk about it tonight!” Magdalen laughed, “I’m out shopping right now. There’s a dress that suits you
perfectly. Do you want it in black or white? Forget it, I’ll buy both. Gotta go, bye!”
Without waiting for Estelle to reply, Magdalen hung up the phone.
Estelle looked at her phone, her beautiful eyebrows furrowed. Magdalen usually skived off work, neglected her
duties at the office, and went on shopping sprees when she was unhappy!
So, she was not as carefree as she appeared to be.
Just before quitting time, Magdalen showed up in her flashy sports car. She stepped out, wearing oversized
sunglasses, a brick-red dress, and black heels. She was even more dazzling than a movie star!
She walked straight over to Estelle, took the script from her hand, and handed it to Blythe, who was standing
nearby. With a seductive smile, she said, “Work’s over. I’m taking Ella with me. Can you please finish up the
remaining work?”
Blythe was intimidated by her boldness and simply nodded in amazement.
“Good girl, I’ll treat you to coffee next time!” Magdalen smiled brightly and pulled Estelle away.
Estelle was speechless. She looked back at Blythe and instructed, “I’ve sorted out the script. You can knock off

“Okay!” Blythe watched Magdalen, awestruck by her elegance and charm.
Magdalen drove Estelle to a bar.
“Two Blue Diamonds!” Magdalen ordered two drinks and turned to Estelle, “I hope we won’t be bothered tonight,
and no one will force any innocent girls. Otherwise, the police station won’t be a pleasant place, and it won’t be
easy for you to explain to Mr. Lamont.”
Estelle raised an eyebrow, “Anything can happen here.”
“But it’s a great atmosphere. It allows you to completely relax!” Magdalen laughed, “After along day, we should
find a place we like to unwind.”
When the mixed drinks arrived, Estelle took a sip. The fiery sensation hit her taste buds but was quickly soothed by
the sweetness of the orange.
Estelle asked, “Has Morrison contacted you?”
