Chapter 1424
Jonathan sighed softly, pulling her into a tight embrace, his chin gently brushing against her forehead. “Is Grandpa
doing any better now?” Estelle nodded in his arms. “Dr. Ollie said he’ll be fine as long as he wakes up. He’s in good
spirits now.”
“That’s a relief!” Jonathan stroked her hair. “I wanted to be with you, but I was afraid you’d be too emotional to see
me, so I didn’t dare go in.”
Lying in his arms, Estelle whispered, “I knew you were here, and it comforted me.”
She clutched his shirt, her voice choked with emotion. “Jonathan, why didn’t you tell me carlier?”
Jonathan paused, then slowly said, I hurt you. You didn’t come back for two years, and you kept saying you didn’t
love me anymore. I was scared that you really didn’t want me anymore! I hoped you would come back to me and
love me again, not because of what I did for you or because you were moved by me.”
Follow on NovᴇlEnglish.nᴇt“No! You should have told me everything earlier!” Estelle lay in his arms, her heartache evident.
Jonathan chuckled softly, asking gently, “Is there anything else bothering you? You can tell me anything that’s on
your mind.”
Estelle shook her head. “No, nothing.”
“Do you want to have a baby? Once we don’t need to take medication anymore, we can have a baby, okay?”
Jonathan held Estelle tighter. “I want a child of our own more than anything. Every time I see Kya, you have no idea
how envious I am of Charlie. I can’t help but wonder if our child would look more like you or more like me.”
A warm feeling surged in Estelle’s heart, and she quietly agreed.
Jonathan kissed her temple. “I’m also being honest with you. I do mind Jason’s kindness towards you, but I’ve never
doubted you.”
Estelle looked up at him. “Jason doesn’t like me. He has someone he likes, and he knows how much I love you!”
Jonathan smiled slightly. “How much do you love me?”
Estelle looked down at his shoulder. “A lot!”
Hearing her confirmation, Jonathan felt it was all worth it. He closed his eyes and held her even tighter, as if trying
to meld her into his body. “I love you too, Ella. When you said you wouldn’t love me anymore, I almost fell apart!”
Estelle snuggled against his shoulder, feeling overwhelmingly tender. She had never loved him as much as she did
now. “Jonathan, I’ve never told anyone, but in the two years I was away, I missed you every single day!”
Jonathan’s gaze trembled, and he looked deeply into her eyes. “We’ll never be apart again!”
Estelle wrapped her arms around his neck, her dark eyes fixed on him, then she rose on her tiptoes and kissed his
lips.
Jonathan’s breath hitched, and he quickly reciprocated, kissing her deeply.
All misunderstandings or problems she thought existed were swept away. They loved each other deeply, and
despite everything they’d been through, they never gave up on each other.
Jonathan kissed her fiercely, as if trying to fill her still–fearful heart.

Jonathan took a deep breath, leaning his head back against a column. He could feel her right over his heart, and it
gave him immense satisfaction.
After a while, Estelle stopped, her eyes as clear as starlight. “You’ve been standing all night; are you tired? Let me
take you to rest.”
Jonathan gently brushed his fingers over her moist lips. “I want to visit Grandpa first.”
“When did you start calling my grandpa by his name?” Estelle’s brow furrowed slightly.
Jonathan chuckled lightly. “Actually, I started quite a while ago. The first year I started spending Christmas’s with
your grandpa, I started calling him by his name. He even gave me a Christmas’s gift.”
Estelle imagined the scene and couldn’t help but laugh. She didn’t know how to describe him.
“I also prepare Christmas’s gifts for you every year. They’re in the drawer of the bedside table in your room.”
Jonathan looked at her adoringly.
“What Christmas’s gifts?” Estelle asked in surprise. She hadn’t known about it all this time.
