"I've put up with you during our usual squabbles, but you're becoming nastier by the day. Stop it with the homewrecker bullshit and watch your tongue." "Douglas, we're just chatting here. Don't be mean to Yvette," Simon warned coldly as he held Yvette, who was infuriated.
Douglas was aware that Simon was Yvette's yes-man. So, he didn't retort but instead cast a heartbroken glance at Melody.

Daniel's good intentions weren't appreciated, and he couldn't help but glare at Douglas. Fine, then. He would stand back and see what Melody was up to.
Melody seemed to be encouraged by Douglas' words. Her expression turned sincere, and she said, "Wasn't Ms. Shaw the girlfriend of Theo's nephew? Benson, I think, was his name. In the past, they were inseparable. Who would've thought that she and Theo would be married in the end?" How great.
Just like that, Daniel and the others had lost what hope they had left. She had opened the can of worms, fully knowing what it would entail and deliberately getting under Sierra and Theo's skin.

Melody's grin stiffened. Taking a deep breath, she geared herself up ΟΠ for a rebuttal. However, that was NO when Theo asked coldly, "How about I make it up to you and propose again?"
