Valerian nodded. "Callie, don't worry about her. Just eat, okay? Make sure you're full first."
He looked at Calliope with a hopeful expression. "So, does what | got for
breakfast suit your taste?"
Valerian was clearly fishing for a compliment.
Calliope just shrugged. "It's alright, | guess."
Silas glanced at Valerian. "Sbig brother you are, you barely know your own sister."
Valerian was at a loss. Wait, wasn't she the one who seemed to love this stuff when they went out to eat last
time? She looked happy enough then! So why the sudden change of heart?
Still, Valerian didn't dare ask. He just made a mental note to pick up a bigger variety next time.

They were all enjoying their breakfast when Lisette finally cdownstairs, shivering like she'd been locked in a
freezer. She stomped down the stairs with as much noise as she could manage, probably hoping everyone would
come
running.
But the living room was empty. Everyone was gathered in the dining room, deep into their food. They didn't even
glance at her as she walked in, as if she'd turned invisible. She was on the verge of a meltdown, and not a single
person seemed to
care.
Lisette's face twisted in anger. Just then, Calliope called over with a wicked grin, "Hey, Ms. Queen,
decided not to take the leap after all? We were kind of looking forward to your big 'swan dive' off the roof.
Shame, I've never actually seen anyone jump before. Guess we'll have to miss out!"
She kept going, deadpan. "But if you're serious, you should try the office building. It's way taller. One good splat
and it's over in a second. Much more effective, trust me."
Lisette was speechless, barely able to contain her fury. She stomped her foot and turned to Valerian and Horatio.
"You guys feel the sway?"
Horajust kept eating, shoveling more hash browns onto his plate.
Monty didn't even look up. Once, they might've cared, but now? Not so much. It was pretty clear Lisette was too
scared to actually do anything tic. This was all for attention.
Realizing she'd lost her audience, Lisette bit her lip and stormed back upstairs.
The rest of them finished breakfast and headed off to work.
Later, Lisette cback down as Zelda was telling the housekeeper to deep- clean and sanitize the place.
Zelda eyed Lisette warily. "Lisette, you really should go see a doctor. Whatever you've got might be contagious."

Zelda was just as scared of her as anyone else. So she left for the hospital, and as she walked out, everyone in

Meanwhile, Calliope was in Silas's car, piecing things together.
"She's got skind of allergic reaction, mixed with poisoning, right?" Calliope asked. After all, she was the
Miracle Doctor.
Silas nodded Yeah. The dog had something on its fur that triggered her allergy The toxin only affects people with
her specific allergy, so Lisett@got the worst of it. She's not gonna die, but she's in for a rough week. Happy with
