Anthony's eyes bore a clear hostility as he glared at Lukas.
Reese felt a sense of helplessness as she observed Anthony's demeanor. She realized that Anthony was likely
just concerned about her well-being.
She was afraid that Anthony would say something she shouldn't in front of Lukas, so Reese quickly intervened,
attempting to explain the situation. "Dr. Rivers, Mr. Strakovski cspecifically to check up onafter learning
about my car accident."
She then turned to Lukas and clarified, "Dr. Rivers was aware of my accident and arranged forto have a
thorough examination ahead of time."
Upon hearing this, Lukas maintained an expression devoid of warmth as he responded, "In that case, | appreciate
your concern, Dr. Rivers."
Anthony's usual composed demeanor took on a somber tone as he stated, "Reese was involved in Alexa's car
accident."
Lukas also seemed to notice something as he took a step forward, instinctively placing himself between Reese
and Anthony. "If that's the case, it doesn't seem relevant to Dr. Rivers. His responsibility lies in saving lives and
aiding the injured." He calmly stated.
Anthony's expression turned even more serious. "Lukas, speople are constantly creating chaos and causing
harm, despite my best efforts."
Lukas raised an eyebrow, his expression cold and impersonal: "Is that so? In that case, | guess all of them are

Anthony's face grew strained. "Lukas, you're admitting to it."
Reese swiftly interjected, addressing Anthony to prevent the situation from escalating. "Dr. Rivers..."
She was worried that Anthony and Lukas might engage in a confrontation due to a lack of evidence.
Anthony was taken aback, shooting an angry look at Reese and noticing her concern.
He took a deep breath and stared at Lukas with a gloomy expression. "Mr. Strakovski's perspective might be a bit
extreme. | would recommend considering a visit to a psychiatrist." He said, his tone more biting.
Lukas sneered. "I've held this perspective since childhood, and I've never seen a psychiatrist. Yet, I'm still living a
thriving life." He replied, his tone laden with indifference.
Anthony laughed sarcastically, "I hope you can continue to live a good life without any psychological burden in
the future." He said.
Lukas retorted with a cold snort, not taking Anthony's remarks to heart. "I haven't done anything wrong, so |
don't carry any psychological burden." He said.
When Reese saw these two going toe-to-toe, she hurriedly stopped Anthony from continuing to speak.
"Dr. Rivers, I'm going hnow. If anything happens, I'll let you know." She interrupted.
Anthony hesitated, wanting to say more but ultimately refrained from targeting Lukas further. "Then be careful
on your way, | won't see you off." He said.
With a nod, Reese quickly ushered Ava and turned to leave.
Lukas maintained a stern gaze on Anthony, who met his glare head-on.
Lukas snorted and then turned to follow Reese.
As they reached the parking lot, Ava left in her own car.
Reese's vehicle was being repaired, so she calmly entered Lukas's car without causing a fuss.
As the car left the hospital, Reese thought of those words from Anthony. She eventually couldn't contain her
curiosity and spoke up. "Mr. Strakovski, how did you know about my car accident?"
Her implication was clear: she hadn't told him, yet he seemed aware. This could only mean he knew about
Alexa's accident and deduced his involvement.
Lukas's demeanor darkened slightly. "Martins informed me."
Reese stared at Lukas's side face and got to the bottom of it, "How did Assistant Parker know?"
Lukas sensed Reese's underlying intention, and his handsface tightened. "Reese, what are you trying to
ask?"
When Reese heard his voice, her courage was like a balloon that had been punctured, all of a sudden gone.

She pursed her lips, her voice muffled: "Nothing."
Lukas was taken aback, ready to address the matter of the three individuals and Alexa's accident. However, he
was surprised by Reese's sudden retreat.
At a red light, he glanced at her.
Seeing the bandage on her forehead, he recalled his own regretful actions outside the operating room. He felt a
pang of unease.
Clearing his throat, he asked, "How serious is your forehead injury? What did the doctor say?"
Reese met his gaze and replied, "It's not too severe just a minor bruise and slight concussion. Nothing major."
Lukas hummed and said nothing more.
Reese flinched this tand didn't open her mouth to ask anything more.
However, those words of Anthony were still tossed around in her head.
Back at Hill Crest One Residence, she entered her room and took a shower, but she didn't feel like sleeping at all.
She felt that she would definitely not be able to sleep tonight if she didn't get to the bottom of this matter.
She went downstairs and drank a cup of water to bolster her resolve. She intended to go find Lukas and demand
clarity.
When she put down the cup and turned around, she saw Lukas standing at the entrance of the stairs, looking at
her, his face devoid of any emotion.
