Chapter 4457 The Imprint

Catalina stared at Kai as she questioned him, “I did save your life, you know. Don’t you have anything to say to

me? Moreover, you're already my man now. Your woman is about to leave you; don’t you have anything to say?”

“Which imperial city are you from?” Kai asked.

Catalina pouted. “Is that all you're going to say? I'm not allowed to reveal my identity. Father forbadefrom

telling anyone.”

“I'm your man, aren’t 1? Can’t you even tell me?”

Kai was somewhat at a loss for words.

“No, | can’t. We're not even truly husband and wife yet. What makes you think you're my man? If you truly wish

to be my man, then you must seek my father’s approval for our union. Only his consent holds any weight.”

After Catalina finished speaking, she turned around, ready to leave.

“Where should | look for you? | don’t even know where you are!” Kai asked with a hint of urgency.

“Ill tell you later,” Catalina said, before leaving with the guards.

Leftblind and Rightblind looked toward Kai, their gazes filled with a touch of confusion.

“Hey, brat! With just this much skill, you're dreaming if you think you can becMs. Lantz’s man. You probably

won't have the chance to see her again in the future, so just consider today’s events as a dream.”

After Leftblind finished speaking, he turned and vanished into thin air.

Rightblind, too, let out a cold laugh, a laugh filled with contempt, before he too disappeared.

It wasn’t until Catalina and her entourage had completely disappeared from sight, that Kai realized he had no

idea which imperial city Catalina was a princess of.

Who exactly were these people? They're being overly mysterious!

Seeing Kai still staring blankly, Judith expressed her dissatisfaction by saying, “Let's go; they're gone.”

“R-Right...” Kai said, feeling somewhat embarrassed.

He was originally accompanying Judith in search of Myocyte Grass, but was unexpectedly delayed by the sudden

appearance of the Celestial Battlefield.

Kai and his companions returned to Mount Gonagles, embarking on their quest to find Myocyte Grass.

Judith searched with great intensity, for only Myocyte Grass could restore her beauty.

“Let’s split up and search. Mount Gonagles is very vast, so continuing like this isn’t going to work. I'm giving you

all communication devices. Whoever finds it, make contact immediately.”

Kai knew that, at the rate they were going, it would take forever to find that Myocyte Grass.

Only by searching separately could they increase their chances.

Luckily, the cultivators in the eastern region generally weren't too powerful, so there wasn’t too much to worry

about.

“All right.” Both Cloud and Judith nodded in agreement.

After handing over two communication devices to them, the tthen split up to search for Myocyte Grass.

“Kai! Kai!”

While Kai was engrossed in his search for Myocyte Grass, Catalina’s voice unexpectedly echoed by his ear.

Startled, Kai quickly turned around, but he couldn't find any trace of Catalina.

But | clearly heard Catalina’s voice, didn’t I?

“Ms. Lantz, where are you?” Kai asked, quite taken aback.

“I'm on my way home!” Catalina exclaimed.

Kai was even more confused. He couldn’t understand how he had managed to hear Catalina’s voice.

We don’t have any communication devices, though.

“How are you able to contactusing telepathy while you're on your way home?” Kai asked.

“I'm not telling you!” Catalina said with a laugh.

At that moment, behind Kai's neck, a faint word “Lantz” was shimmering.

This was the imprint Catalina left on Kai while they were on the Celestial Battlefield.

There was no actual harm done to Kai's body; it was merely used for communication.

Catalina knew that she and Kai were destined to part ways sooner or later. As such, she adopted this method to

stay connected at all times. Moreover, she could always keep track of Kai no matter where he was.

However, Kai himself was completely oblivious.
